Well, we were very disappointed yesterday when our new nanny decided she was not prepared to commit to working every day... SO - we are again looking for a nanny (any recommendations are welcome)! Thankfully our dear friend Lauren just moved to town and is still on her own job hunt - so she is helping us out in our bind until we find someone new! Thank you, Lauren!!!
Hopefully this is all just a part of God's plan to get the perfect person in place to care for our children - in the meantime, Aubry and Reede are LOVING Lauren!! When I told Aubry that Lauren would be there when she woke up from her nap - she replied "Yay!"

Preschool Applications
Living in NYC is crazy... and part of that crazy is the preschool application process... Since Aubry will be 3 next year, I had to try today to obtain some applications for her to enter a 3's program somewhere... This morning I called several schools and ended up with 5 applications. The first ringing I heard (as opposed to a busy signal) - I was in shock! Then I was so excited that a human answered and I got an application! I actually got applications to my two top choices! We are on the waitlist at one school for an application and the circuits were overloaded at 2 others that I like. I will be calling 3 other schools over the next month to see if they will allow us to apply. Crazy - right? You hear stories all the time, but now I will get to see first hand.
There is a good chance we will rearrange our list a hundred times before we finally make a decision - let's all pray that Miss Aubry shines and the admissions directors decide to take a chance on this "unconnected" family!!

Summer Fun

We have been getting out to enjoy some beautiful weather this summer - with picnics in the park and Summer Streets. Aubry had fun with her friend Shayna playing in the birdseed after practicing her jump rope... Reede and I got into the fun with the hula hoops - who knew I could actually keep a hoop up long enough to have a photo snapped!!Efforts to do more blogging...
So - I am going to try to start making posts to our family blog... we will see if I can keep it up... I have decided that today is as good a day as any other and is especially timely as we are heading up to Reede's birthday when I will be trying to do a lot of DIY crafty fun stuff for his birthday party...
This summer has been full of fun and excitement - we have not traveled far from our home, but we have been so busy around here that the summer has flown by without our even noticing... We are happy to say that we moved at the beginning of June - adding some much needed space. We are still working on turning the apartment into a home - but it is getting there. I hope to share any tips and fun finds I discover along the way.
My mother (Noni) has been staying with us since before the move. She has been a saint helping us to get moved in and caring for the kiddos while we are between nannies. She will go home after Reede's birthday - I am sure my father is rejoicing!
Reede is turning 1 next week - wow - how fast this year has flown! He is on the verge of walking and is eating everything in sight. We will begin the dreaded NYC preschool application process for Aubry so that we can hopefully get her into a 3's program for next fall... I am quite sure that will provide some topics for blogging...
So - with all of this going on, I am hoping to begin anew with this blogging project and will post pics of all things Robinson...
